About FLAC Compression

Can you compress FLAC without losing quality?
Only marginally. FLAC is already losslessly compressed, so re-encoding it as FLAC again saves under 5%. Real size reduction requires lossy encoding — at 320 kbps most listeners cannot tell the difference from the original.
Which output format should I choose?
MP3 plays everywhere. M4A (AAC) sounds slightly better per megabyte on Apple devices. OGG (Opus) is the most efficient but a few older players lack support.
